Joe McGowan and his wife Carole from York PA couldn't understand why the toy train companies would not build a sturdy bridge with adequate clearance for modern train loads. They decided to design and build their own based on appearance and easy manufacturing techniques. They wanted their Bridges to be both corrosion resistant and easy to paint. Carole’s contacts swung into action and Joe studied the vacuum of inexpensive designs existing in the train market. (Or not existing.)

Prototypes were cranked out and design changes made as they tested the market, only to be sandbagged as rising steel prices crushed their wholesale market plan. More changes... More design upgrades... More testing... and finally... a good introductory quality line at a damn good retail price! Thanks to Steve H. and his artistic abilities the Company came alive.
